5 EASY PEASY DYI'S TO TRY THIS WEEKEND

Hola chicas!
This weekend it is gonna rain!!

Today, I bring you a few ideas that I've been wanting to try for a few weeks. The internet it's such a deep well of inspiration, I feel I can do anything, but that's not always the case! Some projects quickly transform into an impossible mess! These are pretty straightforward, though, so I think there's no way to ruin them! Let's have fun!

1.  No sew Tutu!

With a few meters of tulle, an elastic band and a few minutes to spare, you can make an easy no sew tutu for your daughters! It's also a sweet gift for the little girls in your life.

Pro Tips:
You can add embellishments to make a one-of-a-kind tutu that best fits the personality of the little girl wearing it. For example:

Use multiple colors of tulle,
Go all out and use glitter tulle instead,
Finish with rhinestones for shimmer effect,
Add a ribbon!

2. Create a tabletop terrarium!

For this project you'll need a few pebbles, charcoal, potting soil, a few plants and, off course, the terrarium. You can buy one that you like or use an old aquarium bowl. They are very easy to maintain and are a great decoration for any room. Your kids will get a kick out of it if you had little creatures or miniature houses.

First the pebbles, second with charcoal, top with potting soil and then root the plants. Add as many plastic creatures as you like!

3. Upgrade your magnetic letters

If you have kids that are learning to read and write you probably have some magnetic letters on your fridge. If you don't, you may have them too because they a are a great way to leave cute reminders on the most used part of the house: the kitchen. Whatever the case is, you may have noticed that they are normally bright colored, made of plastic and not that sophisticated!
This is a very easy and cheap way to make them an upscale decor statement! All you need is a plastic primer and gold spray paint. If you have a backyard and cardboard you can even make it a family project.

4. Colorful drinks!

Since here in Miami the heat is always on maximum power, we have to find simple and fun ways to keep the kids cool. If you don't live in a place where the thermostat is broken on "super hot", you can save this idea for the summer. I think that with a few twists we can use it for adult drinks too! Mommy and daddy also need to cool off sometimes!

Simply buy some food coloring and mix some colors with water on a ice tray to make an happy rainbow drink! Add sparkly water to create a bubbly effect!
If you prefer, you can cut fruit and froze it with water or add some small berries to the ice tray!

5.  Three Ingredient Snack!

Salt & Vinegar Sweet Potato Chips! Don't they look delicious? Here in the US, they are huge fans of sweet potato. It's rich in vitamins, iron, magnesium ( which is an anti-stress mineral), potassium and it even protects agains the effects of aging! So, without further ado, I'll share with you this simple recipe that I've been dying to try!

1. Preheat oven to 375. Wash the potatoes and pat dry. Thinly slice the sweet potatoes. Put them on a ziplog bag, add malt vinegar.

2. Place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt! Bake for 15-20 minutes, flip them over and bake for another 15-20 minutes!
